Darwin "Dillon" Weaver, 74, of Greensburg, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017, at his home. He was born May 20, 1942, in Greensburg, a son of the late Samuel P. and Anna M. (Chambers) Weaver. He was a hard worker growing up on a dairy farm, and prior to retirement, worked many years as a maintenance technician at the former Westinghouse (later known as ICI) in Derry, then at WCCC, and most recently worked at Doud's Furniture, Greensburg. Dillon had a passion for the outdoors and spent numerous hours in the woods hunting. He was especially fond of Coopers Rock Forest in West Virginia, where he hunted with his son, Wayne. He was a member of Norvelt Firemen's Club, Calumet Community Club and VFW Post No. 1424 in Marienville. Dillon will be sadly missed by family and friends. He is survived by his son, Wayne Weaver, and wife, Dee, of Morgantown, W.Va.; his daughter, Kimberly J. Robertson, and husband, Kenneth, of Oakdale; six grandchildren, Olivia and Arabella Weaver, and Kenneth Jr., Shane, David and Kimberly Robertson; and his companion, Judi Henigin. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home, with Pastor Tim Haring of Chestnut Ridge Church, Morgantown, W.Va., officiating. www.bachafh.com.
