Dorothy M. Hays, 88, of Hempfield Township, died peacefully Thursday, December 7, 2017 in her home.  She was born November 11, 1929 in Jeannette, a daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Carroll) Hartle.  Dorothy was a 1947 graduate of Jeannette High School.  She was a member of St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg.  She was a devout Catholic who faithfully practiced her religion daily.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Gerald, Ray, Joseph and Richard Hartle.  Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Charles E. Hays; her sisters-in-law, Rose Frye of Florida and Eleanor Pelerose and husband Lawrence of Greensburg; and many nieces and nephews.  Per Dorothy’s request, there will be no public visitation.  A funeral liturgy will begin at 11 AM Monday in LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, 1729 Poplar St., Greensburg, PA 15601.  Charles would like to thank the staff at Promise Hospice for their compassion and dedication to Dorothy.  www.bachafh.com
