Eleanor I. Sopko, 102, of Carlisle, formerly of Greensburg, died Monday, June 20, 2016 in Claremont Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Carlisle.  She was born November 19, 1913 in Mt. Pleasant, a daughter of the late James and Mary (Sidehammer) Yezek.  She was a member of St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband: George F. Sopko; 4 brothers: Joseph, James, Frank and Stanley Yezek; and 5 sisters: Marie Slater, Evelyn Shaw, Josephine Bowman, Caroline Baughman and Ann Yezek.  She is survived by a daughter: Pamela F. Christopher and her husband Ernie of Carlisle; and a few nieces and nephews.  There will be no public visitation.  Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM Friday in St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg.  Entombment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery.  Leo M.
