John E. Fetter, Jr., 66, of Greensburg, died Friday, April 28, 2017 in Hempfield Manor. He was born December 20, 1950 in Greensburg, a son of the late John E., Sr. and Valeria A. (Aleshunas) Fetter. Prior to retirement in 2015, he had been employed by Lowe’s, Greensburg.  He was a member of St. Paul Parish, Greensburg, the VFW Post 33, Greensburg; a longtime Scout Leader for pack and troop #419; he was a  former president of Greensburg Salem Football Parents Association. He enjoyed classic and progressive rock music. He was a Marine Corp veteran of the Vietnam War.  He is survived by his loving wife of 42 years: Mary M. “Babe” (Liegey) Fetter; two sons that he was very proud of and their wives who he adored, Christopher Fetter and his wife Amy, of Pittsburgh; and Timothy Fetter and his wife Erin, of Greensburg; 3 grandchildren that were his pride and joy: Owen, Evan and Miranda; his loving and devoted sister, Valerie Hammack; and his sisters, Joanne Fetter and Patricia Hutchinson; 5  brothers-in-law: Edward Liegey (Connie), Joseph Liegey (Joann) and Robert Liegey (Betty Anne) , all of Frenchville, PA, David Liegey, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Gary Hammack, of Greensburg;  and many nieces and nephews., great nieces and great nephews and cousins; his aunt, Sally Fetter, of South Greensburg and special friends, Karlice Burkart, Marie Gasperin, and Frank Raneri, all of Greensburg. The family would like to thank the wonderful neighbors for all their kindnesses and a special thanks to the Hillman and Arnold Palmer Cancer Centers, Hempfield Manor and Excela Hospice.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Sunday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Monday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Paul Parish, Greensburg.  Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park with full military honors accorded by the VFW Post #33 Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or the American Cancer Society, 510 Pellis Road, Greensburg, PA  15601.      www.bachafh.com
