William J. Young, 72, of Southwest Greensburg, died Thursday, April 27, 2017 at the home of his daughter.  He was born January 1, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan, a son of the late William B. and Anna Mae (Park) Young.  Prior to retirement he had been in the restaurant business and later had worked for the Sunoco on Mt. Pleasant Street for 18 years. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Masonic Lodge. He had served 12 years on the Southwest Greensburg Borough Council.  Bill was an avid Nascar fan and Pittsburgh sports fan. He loved life. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Susan A. Walker and her husband, William Walker. He is survived by two sons: William E. Young and his wife Dawn, of Southwest Greensburg; and Christopher M. Young and his companion Nia Kochasic, of Southwest Greensburg; two daughters: Kari Anne Halaut, of Greensburg; and Jennifer L. Carter and her husband John, of Uniontown; 11 Grandchildren; 2 Great Grandchildren; 1 anticipated Great Grandchild; a niece, Michelle Culler and her husband Bill and their 3 children, of Latrobe; and his beloved pets: Sheba and Galaxy. Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Thursday in the funeral home with Pastor Gary L. Tustin, officiating.  Entombment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park Mausoleum with Full Military Honors accorded by the VFW Post #33 Honor Guard.  www.bachafh.com
