Carl J. Nagy, 90, of Weltytown, died Tuesday, May 28, 2019 surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was born November 19, 1928 in Weltytown, a son of the late Andrew and Catherine (Sabo) Naggy. Carl was employed by Latrobe Brewing Company, Rolling Rock for 38 years, was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and member of St. Florian Catholic Church, United. He loved to fish, hunt and took pride in manicuring his lawn. Carl was known for his joking demeanor and loved by all who knew him. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Edward, Andrew and Albert Nagy. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Alice M. (Krempasky) Nagy, 9 children, Karen (Dave) Uhrin, Richard Nagy, Kathleen (Fredrick) Crock, Carla (Anthony) Bonfanti, John Nagy (Linda), Lisa (Andy) Boytim, Evelyn (Keith) Sidehamer, Kimberly (Frank) Puskar and Elaine (Douglas) Yarabinetz, 17 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 PM Thursday at the Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home, Inc., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity. The rosary will be prayed at 2:30 PM Thursday. Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Friday in the funeral home followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Florian Catholic Church, United, with The Rev. John A. Sedlak as celebrant. Military honors by the Armbrust Veterans and interment will follow in Forty Martyrs Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township. The family would like to thank Dr. Armanious, special caregivers: Brenda, Stephanie, Laci and his son-in-law David Uhrin and the Excela Hospice nurses and personnel. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society or St. Florian Church.
