Diana R. Barnes, 84, of Pleasant Unity, died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at RNC at Greater Pittsburgh, Hempfield Township. She was born Oct. 19, 1934, in Clarksburg, W.Va., a daughter of the late Edward C. and Ruby (Mason) Lantz. Diana was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, Trauger, and former member, treasurer and chairman of the board at Pleasant Unity United Methodist Church. She was also past state president of Professional Secretaries International, past treasurer and president of the former Triangle Meals on Wheels and member of the former VFW Post 8643 Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry J. Walters. She is survived by her children, Kim E. Shilobod and husband, Vince, of Pleasant Unity, and Theodore R. Barnes, of Bristol, Tenn.; three grandchildren, Adam Shilobod and wife, Leia, Tracey Tafero and husband, Greg, and T.J. Barnes; four great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Julian, Anya and Ava; two brothers, Charles "Bud" Lantz and wife, Connie, of Clarksburg, W.Va., and Edward C. "Junie" Lantz Jr. and wife, Carolyn, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity, at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. Daniel E. Baker officiating.
