Barry L. Gardner

Barry L. Gardner, 79, of Mammoth, died Sunday, October 30, 2022 at his home.  He was born April 18, 1943 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Rudy F. and Helen H. (Hoffman) Gardner.  Barry served with the US Army, enjoyed hunting and fishing and taught all his children the same.  He formerly worked at Smith Glass, Mt. Pleasant and was known as the “Motorcycle Man” repairing motorcycles in Mt. Pleasant.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers Robert and Richard Gardner.  He is survived by his wife, Deborah (Kovacina) Gardner, four children, Barry L. “B.J.” and wife Kaylan of Acme, Rudy C. and wife Michelle of Mammoth, Casey M. of Mt. Pleasant and Carly M. Gardner of Mt. Pleasant, six grandchildren, Madison Osborn and Grace, Olivia, Cole, Ruby and Boone Gardner and his sister, Barbara Gardner of West Chester.  At Barry’s request there will be no visitation or viewing.  Family and friends are invited to a graveside service to be held at 11 AM Wednesday in Fairview Cemetery, Route 982 south of Kecksburg, with The Rev. Timothy E. Beatty officiating.  Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home, Inc., Pleasant Unity, in charge of arrangements.
