Ben Lonigro, 93, of Greensburg, died Monday, September 26, 2022, in Mountain View Senior Living, Greensburg. He was born September 22, 1929, in Wilmington, DE, a son of the late Frank and Nancy (Santi) Lonigro. He was an Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War. Prior to retirement he had worked as a manager for American General Life Insurance Company. He was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. Ben loved to go to church and had a deep love for God. He was a kind and compassionate person who always had a kind word to say and would help anyone in need. He enjoyed nature, especially bird watching. He was a loving father and wonderful grandfather to his two granddaughters and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Paul Lonigro. He is survived by his loving daughter, Julie Morgan and husband George; two granddaughters, his “Ally Cat” Ally Shahan and Ashley Bucchioni; four great-grandchildren, Charley, Morgan, Turner, and Evey; his brother, Joe Lonigro; and his loving nieces and nephews, Francis, Lucy, Flo, Cynthia, Nancy, and Joseph. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Prayers will begin at 9:00 AM Thursday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 9:30 AM in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg. Entombment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum.
