Carmen Bianco Obituary

Carmen Bianco, 88, of Southwest Greensburg, died Thursday, July 22, 2021, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg.  He was born July 16, 1933, in Greensburg, a son of the late Arcangelo and Fortunata (Capuzzi) Bianco.  Prior to retirement he had been a topographic draftsman for Green Horn and O’Mara Company.  He was a member of St. Paul Parish, Greensburg.  Carmen was a strong and hard-working man, who was active until the very end.  He cherished his family, especially his grandchildren, who he loved performing his magic tricks for.  He was a talented artist, known for his oil paintings and sculptures.  He was especially proud of his painting of the Last Supper, which he painted on a grain of rice.  Carmen also enjoyed his time spent at Ludwick reunions.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight siblings.  He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Charmaine (Charley) Bianco; three children, Jeffrey Bianco, Valerie Bianco (Keith Smetak), and Gregory Bianco (Shawn); nine grandchildren, Nicole, Suzette, Britney, Christopher, Kirsten, Morgan, Joshua, Breanna, and Braiden; seven great-grandchildren; three siblings, Mary Gamble, James Bianco, and Angelo Bianco (Edie); and several nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 4 to 8 PM Monday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Tuesday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Paul Parish, Greensburg.  Interment will follow in Union Cemetery of Greensburg.  In memory of Carmen, please view his artworks on his website, www.carmenbianco.com.
