George Rinier Obituary

George R. Rinier, 91, of Greensburg, formerly of Youngwood, died Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021. He was a son of the late Peter and Julia Rinier. George was a member of Holy Cross Roman Catholic Church, Youngwood. He retired from PPG Industries. He served as scoutmaster for scout troop No. 452 for many years as well as a board member for Youngwood Area Park-N-Pool. George served his country with pride and honor in the Army during the Korean War as a Sergeant First Class in the 79th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Gun Battalion. In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his brothers, Peter and Renald Rinier; and sister-in-law, Dolores. George is survived by his wife of 66 years, Anne; his children, Cynthia (Steve), Richard (Denise) and Randal; his grandchildren, Sara (David), Steven, Lindsay and Michele (George); great-grandchildren, Liam and Elissa; his sister, Marcia (Bob); and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
