Josephine G. Bodnar

Josephine G. Bodnar, 93, of Greensburg, died Thursday, June 10, 2021 in St. Anne Home, Greensburg.  She was born March 16, 1928 in Humphreys, a daughter of the late Michael P. Sr. and Mary E. (Drapp) Bodnar.  Prior to retirement she had been employed by First Commonwealth Bank and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg.  Josephine enjoyed listening to polkas and polka dancing and also reading her old bible regularly.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Michael, Gabriel and John Bodnar, and sisters Marie B. Zelensky, Catherine B. Wright, Agnes B. Kusick, Ann B. Wheitzel and Theresa B. Gyescek.  She is survived by a sister, Eleanor B. Baum of Youngwood, a brother-in-law, Frank Gyescek of Allison Park and many nieces and nephews and great and great great nieces and nephews.  Friends will be received from 9 to 9:45 AM Monday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  Prayers will begin at 9:45 AM Monday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10:15 AM in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral.  Entombment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Hempfield Township.    www.bachafh.com
