Mary L. Hainesworth

Mary L. Hainesworth, 90, of Greensburg, died Thursday, October 7, 2021, in UPMC East, Monroeville.  She was born May 9, 1931, in Greensburg.  She was a graduate of Greensburg High School and had worked for Jeannette Glass, Kroger Meat Packing, Irwin, and McSorley’s Restaurant in the former Greengate Mall.  She was an avid Steelers fan and loved Clark bars.  She loved her family and being a grandma most of all.  Mary was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Methodist Church, Greensburg and was the eldest member of the church.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Claudia (Walton) Wright; her son, Michael Maddox; infant daughter; grandmother, Carrie “Babe” Walton; and aunt, Sarah Davis.  She is survived by three children, Kevin Hainesworth (Debbie), Donna Rockmore (Keith), and Michelle Hainesworth; 10 grandchildren, Michael Powell, Erica Adams, Sharlee Hainesworth, Carrie Hainesworth, Terrell Hainesworth; Peyton Blackley, Reggie Hainesworth, Bryan Rockmore, Keith Rockmore Jr., and Tevin Hainesworth; numerous great-grandchildren, relatives, and friends; and two friends who were like sons to Mary, Mark McGowan, and Christopher Don Gantt.  Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Tuesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg.  A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Wednesday in the funeral home with Pastor Frank Brown officiating.  Interment will follow in St. Clair Cemetery.  The family suggests face masks be worn in the funeral home.  The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice for their excellent care, as well as Mary’s caregivers, Angie, Michele, Jandon, Durae, and everyone who cared for Mary.  www.bachafh.com
