Nancy J. (Damico) Stokes, 83, of Greensburg, died Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Redstone Highlands Retirement Community in Greensburg. She was born on March 25, 1939, in Greensburg, a daughter of the late James and Jean (Pietropaoli) Damico. Prior to retirement, she was a Supervisor of Medical Records for three decades at Jeannette Hospital. She loved God and was a devout member of St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg. She was a member of the St. Bruno Rosary Altar Society and an active volunteer at the church festivals and annual fish fry. Nancy was a proud member of The Jeannette District Memorial Hospital (JDMH) Retirees Association. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband Paul E. Stokes; an angel granddaughter, Brianna Stokes; a sister, Janet Damico; and brother-in-law, Ronald “Bucky” Gibson. Nancy was a devoted and fabulous mother to three sons, Brian Stokes (Marie), Bob Stokes, and Richard Stokes (Christine); proud grandmother to three grandchildren, Michael Stokes, Amanda Martz (Wesley), and Shiann Stokes, loving sister of Annamarie Gibson and Ronald (Sandra) Damico, niece of Vera Sompel and Amerigo Pietropaoli; and aunt to several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 PM Sunday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME, INC., 516 Stanton Street, Greensburg. Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Monday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral mass to be celebrated at 10 AM in St. Bruno Roman Catholic Church, South Greensburg. Entombment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery Mausoleum. The Rosary Altar Society will pray the rosary at 2:40 pm Sunday in the funeral home.
