Patricia L. (Packe) Miller, 82, of Plum (formerly of Latrobe) went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on July 20, 2025. She was born on October 30, 1942, in Greensburg, daughter of the late Elroy L. Packe and Louise (Nicoletto) Packe. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 58 years, Richard E. “Dick” Miller and her beloved grandson, Noah Penich. She is survived by a son, Scott L. Miller of Latrobe; two daughters, Michelle Miller- Penich of New Stanton (Steve) and Amy Singh (Amarjit) of Plum with whom she resided. Grandchildren: Britini Kenney, Cody Miller, Vivian Miller, Ethan Penich, Jasmin Singh and Karina Singh-Berry (Trey). Great grandchildren: Jace, Malayna, Emmy, Nolan, Addy, Penny and Leland. She is also survived by her sister Jan, and brother-in-law, Marshall “Bud” Casale, of New Stanton. Finally, but not least, her four-legged canine friend Lance, who loved grammie’s special treats at every meal. He brought her joy, laughter, and unconditional love. Prior to retirement in 2009, Pat was a Purchasing Supervisor at Adelphoi USA, Latrobe. She took great pride in her work and was highly respected. Pat was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Trauger, where she was deeply involved in church activities until she became homebound. She truly appreciated Pastor Frank’s visits and found comfort in her Christian faith during her final days. Pat was a wonderful mother and grandma. She loved spending time with her family. She never had a bad word to say about anyone. Her faith was embodied in her actions. Pat was quiet at times, but everyone who knew her felt the warmth of her heart and appreciated her unspoken kindness. She enjoyed gardening (especially growing lilies) and cherished nature. Pat found an escape in television. Her favorite shows were the dramas “When Calls the Heart,” and “Heartland,” and the reality show “The Incredible Dr. Pol”. Dr. Pol’s veterinary excursions to farms were her favorite due to her late husband’s love of farm life. Pat was a fan of country music. She especially enjoyed Jimmy Fortune’s harmonious melodies. One of her favorite songs was his single “Elizabeth”. Pat was an avid Pittsburgh Sports fan. As a teenager, she closely followed the Pirates along with her dad and was a huge fan of Bill Mazeroski. She graduated from Hempfield High School in 1960 when the Pirates won the world series thanks to Mazeroski’s game winning swing. She loved watching Steeler games. Her favorite Steeler of all time is Rod Woodson. There will be no visitation. Her final resting place will be Walnut Hill Cemetery, Donegal PA. A private celebration of life will take place in September. We would especially like to thank Pat’s caregiver Maddie for her love and compassion over the last year and a half. We would also like to thank the team of Bridges Hospice for their care and support over the last few weeks. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, Trauger or to Samaritan’s Purse (Billy Graham’s nonprofit).
