Patricia J. (Smith) Tait

Patricia J. Tait, 82, of Unity Township, died Saturday, Dec. 12, 2020, at Brookdale Senior Living, Latrobe. She was born Jan. 20, 1938, in Wilkinsburg, a daughter of the late William J. and Garnet F. (Thomas) Smith. Prior to retirement, she was a teacher at Mountain View Elementary School in the Greater Latrobe School District. Patricia was a member of Charter Oak United Methodist Church and liked to read and travel. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph D. Tait, a son, David W. Tait, and a granddaughter, Garnet Lydia Delfs. She is survived by two sons, Mark A. Tait, of Mt. Pleasant, and R. Douglas Tait, of Latrobe, her daughter, Amy Tait Delfs and husband, Andreas, of Ithaca, N.Y., seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, her sister, Connie Smith Slagle and husband, Dan, of Richland, Wash., and several nieces and nephews. Private services and entombment were held in St. Clair Cemetery, Hempfield Township. www.bachafh.com.
