Phyllis M. (Danser) Arnold

Phyllis M. Arnold, 80, of Humphreys, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, in UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born Jan. 3, 1941, in Unity Township, a daughter of the late C. Reed and Mary E. (Blank) Danser. Phyllis loved watering her flowers, especially her rhododendrons, cooking her famous stuffing balls for Thanksgiving and cheering for her Pittsburgh Pirates and Steelers. Above all else, Phyllis simply loved the many Sunday visits from her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Arnold; five brothers, Donald R., Patrick "Cutty", Roy C., Thomas H. and infant, Bryce Danser; and four sisters, Lorraine Clark, Jean Wiley, Sara Mears and Grace Johnson. She is survived by her children, Pam Gumbita and husband, Kevin, Patti Colaianne and Lorrie Shepler, all of Latrobe, and William L. Arnold (Kelly), of Derry; six grandchildren, Amanda Wolfe (Brandon), Blake Colaianne, Alexandra Gumbita, Olivia Singley (Josh), Shelby Arnold and Zachary Arnold; a great-grandson, Jaydon Arnold; a brother, Frank L. Danser, of Washington, D.C.; and numerous nieces and nephews. A private visitation and service was held at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., Pleasant Unity, with the Rev. Nancy Mears officiating. Interment followed in St. Paul Reformed Cemetery, Mt.
