Richard Marin Obituary

Richard T. “Dick” Marin, 80, of Latrobe (formerly of Greensburg), died Monday, December 7, 2020 at home.  He was born May 28, 1940 in Coverdale, a son of the late John and Susan A. (Drost) Marin.  He served with the Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a member of Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg.  Prior to retirement Dick was a principal quality engineer at Westinghouse Electric Co. in Madison.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his aunt Mary M. (Drost) Pollock who raised him, his sisters, Mary Willcox, Catherine Marin, Mildred Marin and Reta (Barbara) Woodruff, and his brothers, Thomas, Anthony, Frank, John, Bernard and David Marin.  He is survived by his wife, Olive B. “Ollie” (Gamble) Marin, his son, David Richard Marin of Brooklyn, NY, his sisters, Elizabeth Henry of Greensburg and Diane Sutherland of Iowa, his brothers, Edward, Eugene and Robert Marin all of Canonsburg, and numerous nieces and nephews.  A private visitation for immediate family will be held at the Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home, Inc., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity.  Family and friends are invited to a funeral mass to be celebrated at 9:30 AM Wednesday, December 16 in Blessed Sacrament Cathedral, Greensburg.  Please go directly to the church.  Entombment will follow in Greensburg Catholic Cemetery, Hempfield Township.  Please be prepared to adhere to all current health guidelines, including face masks and social distancing.
