Robert J. Burke, 69, of Whitney, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, at Excela Health Latrobe Hospital. He was born March 31, 1952, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late James F. and Catherine E. (Gregory) Burke. Robert served with the Navy and was employed at L&S Machine Co., Latrobe. He was a member of Hostetter Slovak Club, Youngstown Firemens Club and Whitney Firemens Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara L. (Miller) Burke; his daughter, Stacey Lynn Burke; and his sister, Caroline Patricia Sanner. He is survived by his brother, G. Keith Burke and wife, Georgette, of Irwin; three grandchildren; and nieces and nephews, Craig (Kerry) Sanner and family, Amy Sanner, Robin Sanner, Pam (Ed) Postlethwait and family, Michael (Adrienne) Burke and family, Christopher (Gerilyn) Burke and family and Patrick (Sarah) Burke and family. He is also survived by his partner, Deborah (Kemp) Bossart; her daughter, Sharon (Brian) Schmucker; and their sons, Tyler (Samantha Poklembo) and Travis Schmucker.
