Ronald E. “Porky” Stash, 78, of Pleasant Unity, died Friday, October 29, 2021 at Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born March 18, 1943 in McKeesport, a son of the late Edward T. and Matilda R. (Zyskowski) Stash. He was a US Army veteran and prior to retirement worked at US Steel Irvin Works, West Mifflin. Porky was a life member of Port Vue Fire Department and American Legion Post 447, Port Vue, member of Liberty Borough Vets and Port Vue Golf League. He be remembered as one who always had a joke to tell and loved being the center of attention. He enjoyed golfing, karaoke, gambling, camping, computers, woodworking, photography and painting with Bob Ross. He is survived by his wife, Elaine M. (Suchy) Stash, his son, Ed Stash (James Koh) of Philadelphia, his daughter, Amy Starcher (Darren) of Pleasant Unity and two grandchildren, Nicolas and Emily DeBaise. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 PM Monday at the Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home, Inc., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity. A funeral service will be held at 8 PM in the funeral home with The Rev. Chris Whitehead officiating. Private interment in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth.
