Roy A. Immel, 87, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, November 16, 2021 in Rehabilitation and Nursing Center of Greater Pittsburgh, Greensburg. He was born December 22, 1933 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late William and Viola (Wilble) Immel. Roy was a Marine Corps veteran and served from 1953 to 1961 during the Korean War. After the military, he worked construction and then retired from Brown Boveri after 22 years. He was a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, Greensburg. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Walter, Jim, Donald, Ralph, Leslie, Ann, and Dolores. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Joanne M. (Nemeth) Immel; eight children, Amy (Mark), Scott (Megan), Brian, Mark, Lisa (Doug), Eric, Debbie (Bill), and Sandy (friend Warren); 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jack, Luther, and Richard Immel, brother-in-law, Jake Nemeth (Jo); and several nieces and nephews. There will be no public visitation. A funeral service will be held at a later date. Inurnment will take place in Westmoreland County Memorial Park. LEO M.
