Stanford Garstecki Obituary

Stanford M. "Stan" Garstecki, 80, of Greensburg, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, at his home. He was born April 24, 1943, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Samuel and Loretta (Withrow) Garstecki. Prior to retirement, he had been a produce salesman for Green Grocer in White Oak. He was a member of St. Bruno Catholic Church, South Greensburg, SNPJ lodge 223, Carbon and the Fort Allen Firemen's Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, William; and two sisters, Rhoda, and Elaine. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann (Bodner) Garstecki; three sons, Gregory M. and wife, Beverly, of St. Joseph, Mich., Jeffrey F. and wife, Tammie, of Cedar Key, Fla., and Brian S. Garstecki and wife, Elizabeth, of Ellicott City, Md.; five grandchildren, Allyson, Megan, Ken, Madison and Abigail; a great-granddaughter, Emma; three brothers, Philip, Paul and Daniel; seven sisters, Sally, Pam, Betty, Cheryl, Naomi, Ruthie and Joyce; sister-in-law, Patty Sliva; brother-in-law, Frank Sliva and wife, Janet; and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends are invited to a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in St. Bruno Catholic Church, 1715 Poplar St., South Greensburg. Everyone should go directly to the church.
