V. David Keck, 73, of Unity Township, died Tuesday, August 24, 2021 in his home. He was born February 14, 1948 in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Wendell Marsh and Mary Naomi (Honse) Keck. He was a graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. David served with the US Air Force and was stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam War. Prior to retirement he had been employed by Pepsi-Cola and worked part time for the Pennsylvania Game Commission. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Latrobe. David was also a member of several shooting clubs, including the River Junction Shooting Club, and a member of the former VFW Post No. 8643, Pleasant Unity. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, David Christopher Keck. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Joann L. (Mercinko) Keck; his daughter, Rachel R. Piper and husband Scott, of Unity Township; grandson, Mason Piper; four brothers, W. Martin Keck, of Unity Township, Mehrl E. Keck, of Unity Township, Timothy R. Keck and wife Karen, of Blairsville, and W. Hans Keck, of Mt. Pleasant Township; several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews; and his granddog, Bentley. Family and friends will be received from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM Thursday at the Leo M. Bacha Funeral Home, Inc., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Friday in the funeral home with Pastor David Clement officiating. Interment will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Mt. Pleasant Township with Full Military Honors accorded by the VFW Post No. 33, Greensburg Honor Guard. www.bachafh.com
