Anna M. Labuda, 106, of Acme, died Monday, May 23, 2016, at her home. She was born Dec. 17, 1909, in Acme, a daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Pockery) Patula. She was a member of St. Vincent Basilica Parish, Latrobe, and had been a lifelong member of the former St. Boniface Catholic Church, Chestnut Ridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Labuda; a daughter, Katherine Robb; 10 brothers, infant John, Joseph Jr., Thomas F., Michael M., Andrew W., John R., William E., Stanley J., Carl J. and Stephen J. Patula; and three sisters, Mary V. Palmer, Helen R. Hoffer and Caroline J. Stefl. She is survived by three children, Helen Ray and husband, Thomas, of Vancouver, British Columbia, Paul J. Labuda and wife, Francine, of Acme, and Deborah McNaughton and husband, Harold Hancock, of Raphine, Va.; a son-in-law, Paul Robb, of Morgantown, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; a brother, Frank Patula and wife, Nellie, of Acme; a sister-in-law, Margaret Patula, of California; and many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity. Prayers will begin at 9:15 a.m. Thursday in the funeral home, followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Vincent Basilica, Latrobe. Interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery, Unity Township.
